Evaluation index of textile ecology

The production and consumption of textiles is a systematic process, which includes: the cultivation or production of textile fibers → textile production and processing → bleaching, dyeing, printing, finishing → garment production and processing → consumption and disposal. It is required that every link must meet the requirements of ecological and environmental protection, and the renewable and repeatable nature of textile renewable energy; textile production and processing are environmentally friendly; textiles are not harmful to the environment and human body during wearing and use; textiles are abandoned After being naturally degraded in the environment, it will not cause secondary pollution to the environment, and has the characteristics of “recyclable, low pollution, and energy saving”.

The ecological evaluation of textiles is a comprehensive evaluation project based on the entire life cycle of textiles. It includes the following five evaluation indicators.

(1) Life attributes: Is the health of producers and consumers of textiles (including raw materials) compromised, and whether the life of animals, plants and microorganisms including terrestrial and aquatic organisms is affected and threatened?

(2) Environmental attributes: Whether or not the environment is contaminated throughout the life cycle of the textile and whether the ecological environment is damaged.

(3) Energy attributes: The type of energy used in the production of textiles, the degree of energy cleanliness, the proportion of renewable energy (such as the recycling of boiler water), the energy consumption and utilization, and the energy consumption of product recycling.

(4) Resource attributes: Material consumption, equipment maintenance and depreciation expenses, production capacity, wages and benefits, and information resource fees in the textile production process.

(5) Economic attributes: The design cost, production cost, use cost, and product waste recycling cost caused by product environmental pollution are mainly considered. According to the above evaluation indicators, the ecological grade of textiles can be given qualitatively, as well as safe ecological textiles, eco-textile sub-ecological textiles, and inferior ecological textiles. The eco-textiles are the above five indicators are better than the technical requirements of the national (or national standard) related regulations and the limits of various standards; eco-textiles that the above five indicators meet the national (or national standard) related regulations Technical requirements and limit values ​​of various standards; sub-ecological textiles are basically the above five indicators (95%) meet the technical requirements of national (or national standard) related regulations and the limits of various standards; inferior ecological textiles The above five indicators are close (90%) to the technical requirements of the national (or national standard) related regulations and the limits of various standards, and there are no serious threats to human health and serious environmental pollution.
